Born Thomas Baptiste Morello in Harlem, New York, the US Grammy Award-winning guitarist of bands such as Rage Against the Machine and Audioslave, is a relation of the first elected president of Kenya, Jomo Kenyatta.
Kenyatta is Morello’s paternal great-uncle.
Morello’s parents, Ngethe Njoroge and Mary Morello - an Irish-Italian American, met at a pro-democracy protest in Nairobi, Kenya, in 1963. Njoroge was an active participant in the Mau Mau Uprising, and also served as Kenya’s first ambassador to the United Nations.
Upon discovering her pregnancy that same year, Morello’s mother returned to the US in November with Njoroge and they soon married in New York City. However, 16 months after his birth, Morello’s father denied the paternity of his son and soon returned to Kenya.
As a result, Morello was raised in a single-parent household in Libertyville, Illinois, a suburb of Chicago.

Daily blogging is virtually impossible due to me being a lazy S.O.B. and doing all my schoolwork in the last moment like any other regular person. Although that doesn’t mean that I don’t have the time to fuck around from time to time.

Hello and good Sunday May 6th!
I must be the king of procrastination because as much as I determined to study/work/etc. I did nothing of that except fixing my classmate’s PC and drank beer.
Speaking of which! Drinking beer while taking is awesome! Ultimate relaxation guaranteed!
On other news - yesterday was the first game for Latvians in the 2012 world championship in hockey. And of course against our old nemesis Russia. We lost 2:5 but I swear! If the game was day before (May 4th) we would’ve won. Simply by the fact that we always win Russia on May 4th because it’s our second independence day when we regained our freedom from the soviet union in 1991. But enough about history.
The first period went well. We were in the lead 1:0 but when the second started it just went downhill… At least I had a good time watching the game and we didn’t get a NIL.
Tonight we play versus Germany!
GO LATVIA!!!!

TL;DR my life! Vol.1
So as promised here it is!
I’ll try to keep these coming on a daily basis and if not at least weekly so I can feel good about myself and fill my blogging quota.
To be honest I haven’t done this in a long time so now I hardly know where to start. I could reflect on the most recent events in my life or just rant about some random issue. Guess I’ll kinda go with the second option because when re-booting my blogging hobby I feel that I need time to slowly merge my daily life in the actual blog posts disregarding the fact that the title actually has “my life” in it.
Now to continue…
Since I moved to Tumblr from Blogger.com I feel that I can actually take my blog on to a higher level than before because of the tag system which isn’t limited to your blog (as in blogspot’s case) but are spread through the whole Tumblr domain. So here’s to hopes of reaching wider audience! But in summary both these blogging platforms are great although with their pluses and minuses.
In other news the World Championship in hockey starts! Yay!!!
